Otherlife Nightmares: May update

And done.

118,496 words.

I'm sending the completed book to the beta readers to give it a once over and see if anything doesn't fit.

After and during that i'll be going over the material on a "second pass." For me this entails rewriting anything that doesn't make sense on a second read through.

A good example of this is originally in book 1 there was an extended scene in the alley with Katarina and Runner hiding from the tracker.
It didn't fit very well with the rest of the book so it was deleted as a whole.

Once we're done with the second pass this'll be sent off to the editor while the artist builds the cover.

Then it'll go to amazon.

This one went faster than the first book. Primarily because the first book was a lot of me hand wringing and being nervous if people would even like it.

Supportive reviews are the best thing in the world for a writer I've come to realize.

Right, then.

See ya'll soon. :)

  1. Discovered this on Kindle unlimited recently. Absolutely loved this. I've now read it a second time a little slower to appreciate the character development and interactions particularly how he struggles with his veiws of NPC'S over the course of the story.

Loved the jumbled up character creation that left him stuck with "non-optimal" stats and how that changed his approach to leveling.

Can't wait to read the next book!

If you ever need another beta reader or amateur editor I'm good at spotting the odd spelling errors and homonym swaps.

All that said, quit reading comments and write the next 12 books already! =)

  3. Any idea how long it would take to bring it to audible? I'm a truck driver and I listen mostly to my books. I bought the first one and loved it sooooo much

    1. Dunno. Honestly, once I settled on my narrator it took only perhaps 2-3 weeks.

Maybe a month or two after the book release? Depending on if I can get the same narrator.

  4. Please do stick with the same narrator. It is unbelievably jarring to have a narrator shift between books.
